ABSTRACT

The effectiveness of the sealing structure largely determines the reliability of the entire system. The knife edge sealing type has a simple structure and high sealing performance, which is widely used in the plane flange sealing structure of metal containers with high tightness requirements. The sealing structure is designed to be used at high temperatures and the sealing behavior of the knife edge under high-temperature conditions is investigated. The variations of these evaluation indexes of the sealing performance such as effective contact width and contact pressure are analyzed. This research provides references for the design of the knife edge sealing structure under high temperature conditions.
