ABSTRACT

In this chapter, we explore the key components of an approach rooted in mental health. With a foundational focus on resilience, prevention, and early intervention, we combine trauma-informed, attachment-focused principles with healthy power dynamics to set the stage for healing. We’ll also begin to explore the truth that mental health has physiological, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual components, and we’ll continue to explore how to respond to the needs of these layers skillfully in future chapters.
