ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses the model re-identified as the Technology Acceptance Intuitive Interaction (TAII) model. The convergence of the concepts of intuitiveness and ease of use emerged as integral to this research, and additional evidence and literature are presented concerning the convergence of the concepts of intuitiveness and ease of use. Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) is an adaptation of the Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA) to user acceptance and has been applied and replicated across a number of technologies. Compatibility (COM) was one the most significant factors in Diffusion of Innovation Theory. Tornatzky & Klein found COM to be the most studied attribute ahead of relative advantage and complexity. Moore & Benbasat and Agarwal & Prasad also highlight the importance of COM. Technology acceptance research using TAM is based on TRA, and a central postulate of TRA is that performance is voluntary.
