ABSTRACT

This edited volume presents a set of innovative programs that are designed to enhance the well-being of elders. The international array of contributors report on the results of their research as well as how their studies can be applied to the promotion of physical and social activity. The material presented here will be a useful resource for undergraduate and graduate students as well as for the public. The chapters in this collection provide a set of international best practices for healthy aging. The chapters also chart a course toward a future of active and healthy aging.
