ABSTRACT
Hedwig is singing to potential suitors and she wants a Sugar Daddy so she can obtain “whiskey and French cigarettes, a motorbike with high-speed jets,” among other items. A Sugar Daddy is a wealthier older man who wishes for the company of (and sometimes sexual favors from) a younger woman. For this, the Sugar Daddy provides the younger woman with many gifts. In this case, the young woman could be thought of as the supplier – she is supplying the company – and the rich older man as the consumer. They are simply engaging in a transaction for prostitution (or simple companionship) services.
