ABSTRACT

In “The Moneygoround,” the band is singing about how their money keeps getting split up before it reaches them. They sing “Robert owes half to Grenville, who in turn gave half to Larry, who adored my instrumentals, and so he gave half to a foreign publisher.” While the band is (understandably) not happy about what is happening to their money, this song provides an opportunity to examine what economists call the multiplier.
