ABSTRACT
This chapter details a comprehensive PowerPoint presentation introducing staff to the programme. Staff should be encouraged to explore their own understanding of mental health. The documents highlighted on the slide are many and varied and before the election there was a cross party agreement regarding the teaching of personal, social and health education and a commitment to ensure that it became statutory. The background information and the quiz answers from the slide are intended to increase awareness, knowledge and understanding in order for staff to lead the programme. Staff can discuss what they would feel happy teaching from the above list on the slide. It is worth highlighting that many health professional in the world of mental health have disagreements over diagnosis and therefore staff do not have to have all the answers. They could suggest a follow-up activity for the children to research some of the answers on the internet and find them together.
