ABSTRACT

This chapter is designed to provide a whole host of ideas to enable children to speak about their anger and rage in unthreatening, child-friendly ways. Children need help with a language for anger and rage, as do many adults! So these exercises enable children to speak about their anger and rage, rather than just, say, smashing something, or moving into some other destructive discharge. The exercises may also help the children to speak about the intensity of their feelings. We also highly recommend reading to the child the story that accompanies this book. It is called How Hattie Hated Kindness.
