ABSTRACT
108This chapter mainly deals with the background and brief history of photo- voltaics and design strategies of organic photovoltaics. Our main focus is on desired band gap and photophysical properties of polymer via design strategies such as fused heterocycles, effect of substituent, effect of side chain, n-conjugation length.
