ABSTRACT
Selection, design, and applications involving non-thick film lubrication is the focus of this chapter, with bearing design information for all these types of bearings. These application types include the following: (1) dry and without lubrication, (2) solid lubricants, for example, carbon graphite powder, (3) filmless, mixed film, and thin film, (4) pivot bearings, and (5) flexural bearings. Extensive design guideline information for all these bearing types is provided.
