ABSTRACT

This conclusion presents some closing thoughts on the concepts discussed in the preceding chapters of this book. The book focuses on how different approaches can be taken when working with young people's motivation. It shows the most important positions in terms of research into young people's motivation and looks at where the interviewed experts' position can be placed in this context. When explaining the model, the book describes the horizontal axis and then the vertical. The horizontal axis runs between a dimension that focuses on the individual and the interests and experiences that the young people bring with them into the learning situations. When one focuses on the learning context, the teacher clearly emerges as a crucial element in terms of supporting the young people's motivation. The vertical axis focuses on framework conditions such as the purpose of school/education and the general society-related changes.
