ABSTRACT
Children whine for different reasons. Maybe they are sickening for something; maybe they have been waiting too long; the weather is bad and they have to spend a lot of time in the house; their friend is on holiday; a journey appears endless, and so on. This is a good time to pull out an entertaining game from the pocket – a game that is fun and awakens curiosity, because it appeals to a child's interest and skills. Older children and teenagers are often plagued by awful boredom, for no obvious reason. At the beginning of puberty, they are entering a new phase of life, where mood swings and a turbulent up and down of emotions are typical. Throwing paper clips game requires a square piece of cardboard, a coloured dice, and lots of different coloured paper clips in the six colours of the dice. The paper clips are stuck next to each other all around the cardboard.
