ABSTRACT

Revolution must always be in the commanding position and production in the subordinate position. It is a great mistake to separate revolution from production and to pit one against the other. Liu Shao-ch'i, before his purge in the Cultural Revolution, was the ranking Communist Party leader Chairman Mao Tse-tung. In the socialist economy, what commands everything else must be proletarian politics only, never profits. The working class must hold firmly to their power and should never hand over technical and financial power to bourgeois "experts." At the same time, the Party's policy regarding intellectuals must be seriously carried out. The centralized, unified leadership of the Party and the state over the socialist economy is an important guarantee for this country's advance along the socialist road.
