ABSTRACT

True, authentic, constant, unconditional self-love is not commonplace in our society. Most people have no awareness of this and how detrimental this is for us all, as individuals and as a society. Very little attention of any real significance is focused on encouraging deep unconditional self-love as we grow up, in fact in many cases the opposite is true. This feeds our self-confidence, allows us to be more compassionate with ourselves, frees our creativity – allows us to give things a try without worrying about our failure and our inability to react well to that. It allows us to explore our potential without harsh judgements to hold us back. Without making a conscious effort to love, encourage and support ourselves, the fears we have picked up in childhood persist.
