ABSTRACT

A smooth ride, with no ups or downs, with no disappointments, no moments of disillusionment, is very rare, if at all possible. However, perfectionism can be damaging: it can result in missing deadlines, losing contracts or never completing the work. No doubt the sheer volume of work the people may need to do, struggling with illness or other personal problems will justifiably be de-motivating factors. New ideas will be popping into people mind so be ready to catch them and record them before they disappear. When the subject the people need to study fascinates, they never need to worry about motivating yourself. Planning to do a little less than the people think they will be able to do is more likely to guarantee successful completion. A prospect of a reward for finishing a project can give the people a boost of extra energy when it’s already running low and when they start feeling they have had just about enough.
