ABSTRACT

The earlier a person becomes aware that anxiety or stress is developing the easier it is to deal with it. Each individual needs to become an expert at recognising early warning signs so that these can be dealt with effectively before they become a problem. Warning signs such as feeling tense, feeling tired and lethargic, breathlessness, and sweatingmay be different for different people. Group members will be able to identify many more ways that help develop, reinforce and maintain a positive attitude to keep themselves motivated to continue the work they have begun. It is helpful for individuals to identify particular ways that work best for them and to use them regularly. The aim of looking back is to help group members revise and reflect on the main principles covered during the course, enabling them to raise any points or ask questions about issues on which they are unclear.
