ABSTRACT

Like rhythmic games, games of togetherness provide a clear interactional sequence within the play, but with much greater emphasis on the experience of shared feeling between players. These games promote the idea that, in playing together, players can experience an emotional connection between them. For this purpose, the games use experiences such as being copied by another player, working together as a group to create a physical effect in a game and listening out for another player with eyes closed. Trust is an important element in many of these games, adding a further emotional dimension for players.
