ABSTRACT

Your ability to carry out work involves using a range of thinking skills, which can be affected as a result of your brain injury. For example, it is not uncommon to experience diffi culties with working out and planning how to do things, remembering information, thinking at speed and concentrating. You may also have more diffi culty working if you are in pain, tired, anxious or feeling low, and these can all be common problems following a brain injury. In some cases, there may be practical problems with returning to work, such as poor wheelchair access, or, if your job before your injury was physically demanding, it may be infeasible for you to return to this occupation.
