ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses various methods, their alternatives, and related comments to guide group members for having a go – using mixed media, choosing a medium, and building a picture. This exercise can be done individually, in pairs, or as a group. Exercise caution when using make-up and new materials, especially when working with artists who like to put things in their mouths. Some cosmetics and media are also difficult to get off clothes and hands. Some people may have already found a medium they like to work with, and may want to stick with this. If they choose not to, suggest they try as many different techniques/styles as they can, to stretch their imagination and find ways to use the medium creatively.
