ABSTRACT

To guarantee the success of any new programme it is important to ensure that all those involved in the school community are part of the implementation process. The support of all is key to the success of the programme and the change that can be effected within the community. This chapter looks at introducing the programme to staff, governors, parents/carers and children, and ensuring that they share the vision of an embedded programme to support the social and emotional wellbeing of all children within the school. Governors bring with them a wealth of experience and enthusiasm and are a crucial element in any school. It is important to remember that a clear and shared vision is paramount to the success of the programme and promoting the successes of the school is an integral part of the governor role. Relationships between parents, carers and school are paramount to the success of any school.
