Facilitating a conference is not for the faint hearted. It takes a firm commitment to the ideals of the restorative philosophy, appropriate skills and impeccable preparation. At all stages of the conference, where it is humanly possible, work with a colleague who understands the process. Together, you can plan the technical points – who to invite, how to seat them, what's likely to happen in the conference and how best to manage that.
