ABSTRACT

A Community Conference with eleven participants was facilitated to manage a reported incident of bullying between several grade four students. On the surface the behaviours seemed quite normal in light of the social skills of students aged about ten or eleven. What made this incident complicated was the reaction of parents and what they wanted the school to do about it. After the facts had been gathered the theme of this conference was to reconnect parents and to enable their children to provide understanding about what had really happened.
