ABSTRACT

The best forms of recap will refer to activities previously carried out in the course of the therapy as a way of reminding clients, so a repetition of a therapy game that was enjoyed will be well received. People can aim to review the clients' achievements with them at the end of a course, so that they are able to show them where they have made improvements, and give praise. A thorough formal reassessment would not normally take place at these recap sessions, however. This chapter presents some suggestions for adaptable games that people can engineer to recap on anything they have tackled. Customised Jenga is a good fun activity for a group at the end of a course of therapy. It is essential to have a solid table with a flat surface for this game, otherwise people will spend the whole session rebuilding the tower.
