ABSTRACT

T Children whose parents are suffering from ongoing stress and anxiety (eg financial worries).

The book is divided into two sections:

Part one: This part is all about developing an understanding of what it is like for a child to live with a troubled parent. It also covers the latest research in terms of common effects, short and long term, and what can be done to help.

Part two: This part is the practical intervention section. It provides a wealth of exercises, drawing worksheets and tasks to support therapeutic conversations with children. These conversations can enable children to reflect on their lives and find ways of being, doing and thinking which enable them to thrive.
