ABSTRACT

This chapter focuses on adapting curriculum tasks and materials to help all learners achieve ambitious academic goals. It includes information about identifying, prioritizing, and sequencing long-term and short-term goals. The chapter designs to make content accessible to struggling learners, they all have the added benefit of improving outcomes for the full range of learners represented in today's classrooms. It provides practitioners with specific strategies, procedures, and examples for adapting curriculum tasks and materials and enhancing content to make learning accessible for a range of diverse learners. The chapter also includes: simplifying task directions, altering the difficulty level of material, altering the amount of material provided to students, and highlighting relevant information.
