ABSTRACT

Naringenin-loaded nanoparticles system had a significantly higher release rate than naringenin and improved its solubility. Naringenin-loaded nanoparticles system also exhibited more liver-protective effects compared to Naringenin. The antioxidant capacity of apigenin nanocrystals were almost doubled compared to the original coarse suspension. The lyophilized nanosuspension was very well re-dispersible (435 nm). Using cellulose nitrate membranes as in vitro model, permeation through this barrier was 14× higher for lutein nanocrystals compared to coarse powder. The roots extract of C. forskohlii proved to be very good bioreductant for the synthesis of silver nanoparticles. The synthesized nanoparticles were active against clinically isolated human pathogens 7 bacteria and 5 fungus. The silver nanoparticles synthesized using naringin as reducing agent showed higher stability and better antibacterial and cytotoxic activities. Nanoquercetin was more effective at restoring liver membrane integrity using a carbon tetrachloride-mediated liver cirrhosis model as indicated by significantly reduced serum markers compared with naked quercetin.
