ABSTRACT

George S. Patton was an ass. He was unlikable and did some really awful things; after the war he wrote horridly anti-Semitic entries into his diary about the Jews in concentration camps (The New York Times, 2015). A brilliant battlefield commander with incredible intelligence and energy, Patton was one of the most important American Generals of World War 2, but the guy was an ass. By dying the way he did, he was also a safety pioneer.
