ABSTRACT

The broader the scales of production and the more complex its branch structure, the greater is the significance of problems of managing, planning and stimulating it. The efficiency of all social production depends to a great extent on how correctly the turnover and utilization of the material values are organized. The most important task of the agencies of supply and marketing is to establish the most rational direct and long-term ties between suppliers and consumers of output. A single supply system makes it possible to improve the economic ties between enterprises of different branches of industry, and to utilize much more effectively the enormous masses of material resources. Territorial supply agencies have a great deal to do in order to create contractual relationships based on cost accounting among consumer enterprises and suppliers. The commercial director, the finance worker and the bookkeeper, like the engineer and the foreman, must play their role in the enterprise in the struggle to raise profitability.
