ABSTRACT

The Settings window for video is a simple interface with complex possibilities for configuration. This window is divided into two separate lists, one for video surfaces and one for the camera patch. The backbone of the entire surfaces system, though, is the creation of new and unique surfaces as patches for Video and Camera Cue output. When dealing with video, there are preferences that should be set before ever inputting a Video or Camera Cue into workspace. Though there are many powerful functions related to video in QLab, the setup tends to be quicker than that of audio because there are significantly fewer preferences to address. There are many reasons for editing the surface output, however, such as keystone correction or changing the projector orientation. The Syphon outputs can then be routed into other Syphon-capable programs, such as MadMapper, a program designed to video map images.
