ABSTRACT

QLab's default setting is stereo output unless connected to an external audio device. For basic sound systems, this could be all that someone need for functional sound playback. A multichannel sound system is a type of sound system that incorporates multiple speakers for sound playback, each with its own control channel, thereby allowing for the maximum flexibility of volume and panning. Important function of the Audio Settings is the Volume Limits tool. This feature is located in the upper right corner of the Audio Settings window. The bottom row of the Audio Settings deals with Mic Cues. In order to take advantage of the Mic Cue, someone need an audio device with inputs for microphones and outputs to send the resulting microphone signal. Like setting the default Audio Levels inside Cue Templates, this process is simple, but will require some quiet time alone in the theatre to fine-tune the volume settings for that particular location.
