ABSTRACT
A team builder is called Personal Share Pairs. It is a great way for the kids to get to know each other, for the teacher to know the students and the students to know the teacher. 'Circle of Knowledge' can be used to allow each team member to share facts about the selected pictures within a team, building the team into a cohesive unit. Students love competition, something which can be used to do effective team building. A fun activity that encourages students to interact at a high level is Alphabetic Foods. Think/Pair/Team/Share will be used to begin a listing of alphabetic foods. Cry For Help provides extreme pressure on the individual student and reinforces the value of the team. After having played the game once, students tend to study more intensely in preparation for the next "Cry For Help" adventure. Students have prepared more thoroughly for this game than for the actual test because peer pressure is huge here.
