ABSTRACT

As Winston Churchill famously remarked in the British House of Commons after the Allies won their first major battle of the Second World War in November, 1942, "Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. The vital and difficult part of being a Transpersonal Leader still lies ahead: continuing to increase our awareness, changing our unwanted habits, bringing our minds to full consciousness and making full use of our ethics and values in whatever we do. In some ways, developing awareness of self and others and then bringing our non-conscious processes to full consciousness is the most challenging aspect towards our development as a Transpersonal Leader. Armed with the values of social conscience and self-development, together with their emotional intelligence and their intellect, Transpersonal Leaders need to bring all these together as transpersonal practices. The chapter discusses the history of intelligences and the linking of the three core intelligences.
