ABSTRACT

At the crucial moment when the War of Resistance against Japan was at its height and when the KMT reactionaries were whipping up an anticommunist high tide in December 1940, our great leader Chairman Mao wrote his glorious work "On Policy." The tactical principles and various policies formulated by Chairman Mao reflect the objective laws in class struggle and give full play to the spirit of the proletariat and the art of waging struggle in a flexible way. They enrich and develop Marxist-Leninist tactics and ideas, demonstrating their power in defeating the enemies and winning victories in various historical stages. They are always the powerful weapon of the proletariat for uniting the people and defeating the enemies. In his work "On Policy," Chairman Mao repeatedly stressed the importance of forming policy and tactics. In "On Policy," Chairman Mao has concisely generalized the anti-Japanese national united front policy in the simplest language.
