ABSTRACT
This case presents readers with several issues which might require them to consider their personal and professional responsibilities to individuals in a lower-status role in a team. The case involves coach–player relationships, coaches’ modeling behavior and decisions by a sport psychology practitioner who witnessed an emotionally charged event between coaches and a player. Discussions about roles, scopes of practice and types of intervention are encouraged.
