ABSTRACT
Agriculture is the source of food. It is also a source of raw materials for light industry and a major market for industrial products. At present, China's agricultural products are also one of its major exports. Without rapid growth of agricultural output, rapid industrial growth will be hampered, and it will be very hard to raise the people's standard of living. The important role of agriculture in the growth of the national economy determines the basic tasks of agricultural production planning. To increase agricultural production rapidly and to make the growth of marketed output be in the proper proportion to the growth of industry, agricultural production equipment must be based on a technology and an economic foundation that correspond to the socialist industry, that is, socialist agriculture with equipment embodying new technology. The growth rate of agriculture and its proportional relations are realized through specifying the output for agricultural products.
