ABSTRACT
Chapter 11 identifies 10 lessons learned about the ‘development of sport’ process and discusses their applicability for other NSOs. Each lesson in the sequence is explained. This includes the need for NSOs to have the leadership, vision, and capability to view their sport holistically, adopt an integrated approach to the development of their sport, and commit sufficient time and resources to allow it to sustainably impact community sport.
