ABSTRACT
Each hsien (or municipal) people's militia department shall establish a political commissar and a political work section or a political cadre, in order to conduct political work pertaining to the militia and the military service. In its political work the hsien (or municipal) people's militia department shall accept the leadership of higher political commissars and political organs, the hsien (or municipal) Party committee, and the Party committee of the people's militia department itself. The political work personnel of the hsien (or municipal) people's militia department should conduct political education and ideological work in the militia; constantly keep track of and study the ideological condition of the militia. The political work personnel of the hsien (or municipal) people's militia department should conduct political work during the recruitment and selection of conscripts, as well as during war mobilization; propagate and thoroughly implement the military service system of the state.
