ABSTRACT
The line of the Ninth Party Congress is a line of unity and a line of victory. The Party's unity is the Party's life and is an organizational guarantee for the Party's unified leadership. Revolutionary unity can be built only on the basis of the principle of Marxism-Leninism-Mao Tse-tung thought. Liu Shao-ch'i and political swindlers like him went all out to denounce the inner-Party ideological struggle. As early as the period of the democratic revolution, Chairman Mao had said: "The unification and centralization of the leadership in a base area should find expression in the establishment of a Party committee which is unified and leads everything in each base area". To strengthen the Party's unified leadership is an important task. Only when people overcome various wrong tendencies which weaken the Party's leadership function can strengthen the Party's unity, increase the Party's fighting strength, and guarantee the implementation of Chairman Mao's revolutionary line.
