ABSTRACT

On December 23, the General Political Department of the Chinese People's Liberation Army issued a bulletin requesting the whole army, during the period from the New Year to the Spring Festival, 1964, to carry out extensive "support-the-government and cherish-the-people" activities, to learn more successfully from local government and the masses, and to promote still closer relations between the military and the government and between the army and the people.
