ABSTRACT

This chapter examines the importance of partnership working between home and school environments to ensure that growth mindset approaches are reinforced rather than contradicted or undermined. The author shows how he communicates the important aspects of a growth mindset ethos from the very outset, focusing on the key aspects of attitude and approach which enable effective learning and progress. The chapter goes on to explore the importance of working across phases to sustain growth mindset approaches in primary education, before concluding with a focus on the importance of the young people themselves as ambassadors for the growth mindset, leading their peers in effective study habits and attitudes.
