ABSTRACT
27The container for a philosophy of beauty is the inherent beauty of the earth, for which the stories of human beings are almost inconsequential. This relation of material as earth which contains and supports human life sits uneasily with the invisibility of the feminine as mother which supports, but is not supported by, human work.
