ABSTRACT
Professional pilots have great opportunities to use their free time along with lots of energy to pour into their endeavors. They also have the ability to generally handle difficult tasks and are not afraid of challenges, so they quite often take on other challenges by developing a career within a career. Other pilots choose to direct their energy toward getting involved and working deeper within their primary career by choosing one of two other paths. The two other paths a pilot may choose with regard to developing a career within a career both involve aviation. There are several differences between doing union work and management work, one of them is that in order to get involved in management it usually requires an invitation. That is an invitation to accept a management position from someone higher up in management. There are opportunities for pilots within their careers to work within the union or fulfill a management position.
