ABSTRACT

This introduction presents an overview of key concepts discussed in the subsequent chapters of this book. The book discusses some of the aspects of physics and math related to spatialized sound it will equally deal with the "smoke and mirrors" involved with creative media. It explores the challenges one faces when creating audio for the new realities. This includes challenges common to all of the realities, as well as ones that are unique to each platform. The book explores the challenge of sourcing, recording, and creating assets for one's new reality project. It investigates the platform considerations that affect the planning, development process, workflow, and limitations around creating audio for one's another project. The book looks at where one need to go next to develop true expertise in creating sound and music for the new realities as they stand now, and into the future.
