ABSTRACT
It is hard enough to predict the future of any industry or craft, but as soon as technology is involved then all bets are off. I have often spoken to people about new technology advances and how they may affect society and culture, and almost always the people I speak with reply with statements such as “oh yes, but it won’t happen that quickly.” The best response to this is a presentation I saw many years ago at a tech conference. There was the regional CEO of a global tech 312company that gave a presentation and his talk was about the short-term and long-term future of mobile technology at the time.
