ABSTRACT

The Implement phase deals with the actual roll-out of the new processes, the updated people design and, if appropriate, any developed IT solutions. The Implement phase is crucial as it is not just a test of whether the designed people, process and technology solution delivered by the business process management (BPM) activity is fit for purpose, allowing business-as-usual to be conducted, but also of whether the benefits designated in the business case can be realized. All project deliverables, such as training material, communication collateral, manuals, etc., need to be reflective of any modifications made during the Implement phase. The Implement phase will provide valuable input into other phases of the framework. When the Implement phase is reached, it is crucial to complete a review of the original implementation strategy because the project team and the organization will have a much better understanding of the proposed changes.
