ABSTRACT

African academia and the public are not entirely consistent with the stance of African governments: while the official position of African countries generally remains unchanged, the academics, the media, and the people of all walks of life have clearly divergent viewpoints. The African Union and the sub-regional organizations have shown greater desire and determination to get more actively involved in regional affairs, giving new shocks to the principle of non-interference in internal affairs. From the dimension of global politics and international relations, Africa is at a new crossroad of development, with a cornerstone different from the past on the world stage, which has prompted us to have a sense of urgency and build capacity to shape the China-African relations in the new period. China has gained huge benefits and opportunities from the globalization process, and it should be responsible to return to the international community in safeguarding world peace and a development pattern and contribute to its own sustainable growth.
