DIFFERENCES IN UK/US ACCOUNTING PRACTICES We have already mentioned the main differences in accounting practice between the UK and the US, which we briefly review here. It is worth emphasizing that the overall aims of accounting in the two countries, and the detailed accounting rules, are mostly very similar.
