It is easy to forget how new the Internet really is. In April 1994, a Louis Harris survey found that two-thirds of Americans had never heard of the information superhighway (Pavlik, 1996, p. 140). Nor is this growth in the Internet hardly an American phenomenon. One recent estimate had the number of Internet users reaching 1 billion people world-wide by the year 2003.'
