ABSTRACT

This chapter talks about Azy who came to Charters Towers a year after Roya and Shirley and at the same time as Roxane. They were welcomed into the small unit of the Iranian classmates. Azy's guardian was one of the most influential people in her life. She goes on to explain why: Mrs Thomson was a lovely woman and became my role model. She lived in Brighton and every mid-term holiday the author stayed with her. Azy's grandfather was a successful businessman and a well-known industrialist, hence a respected figure in the business community of Iran. After many years of post-revolution hardship, Azy launched several very successful food distribution companies with the help of her husband, father and uncle. Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) previously known as Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) affects many children who carry the symptoms into adulthood. Children with ADHD were often thought to be lazy or troublemakers, both being justifiably punishable.
