ABSTRACT

Action planning helps you to be organised, to meet all your course commitments, and can make you more successful. Students new to university/college often find it difficult to get all their work done on time. Action planning is important: • for course work (or other activities) to identify what you need to do, by when and how• for skills you are trying to develop, to identify what you need to do, by when and how• where others are involved (eg group work), so everybody knows what they should be doing• to help you monitor what you are doing against your plans. It may seem formal, but it is a valuable tool to help you achieve what you want. You are very likely to need it in employment (eg/or handling projects).
